I started this blog for many reasons, one of which was the fact that I am an avid reader, but I don’t have many friends who are as into reading as I am. I often turn to the internet and blogging communities (like Goodreads) to learn what others think of certain books or whether people react to endings or plot developments the way that I do.
There is a pain of sorts that comes with reading a great book (or a bad one, for that matter) and having no one to share it with. The excitement that comes from finishing an epic novel. The anger that comes with getting halfway through a supposed classic and feeling like you just can’t carry on with it for even one more page. The confusion that sometimes sets in after finishing a complicated text.
I’m happy to be here to share my thoughts on what I read and hopefully alleviate some of the pains that come with reading. Who are you able to chat about books with? What other outlets have you found (local groups, online communities) to share your bookish thoughts or hear opinions from others?
